It just seems to me that somewhere along the way we have lost our way. We
accuse each other of having mean thoughts. Why can't we seem to have a
discussion without all the hate?

Politics has never been a pleasant walk in the park. That is
not the history of politics in the U.S. Go back to some of the
charges our Founding Father hurled at each other. Then go from
there through the decades.

There has always been debate, heated debate and fistfights.
The internet has added a new dimension to debate....Anonymity.
It makes it much easier to call someone a MFLSOB.
If we all sat around a cafe table and drank coffee and debated . probably we
would all keep our insults to ourselves. We would still think them though.
