Medicare Advantage Plans

Looking for pros and cons of Medicare Advantage Plans in connection with
Medicare.

The only one available to me in central Florida is Quality Health Plans,
Inc.

I would appreciate any comments.

Looks like my wife and I (we're in central FL) had a lot to learn. We
were anticipating difficulties getting set up since we will soon be 65.
We had heard of the difficulties figuring out prescription plans, etc.
Didn't we need insurance to cover the fees that Medicare didn't? We sat
thru a Humana Gold Plus presentation and were amazed at how simple they
made everything -- and for no additional cost beyond the $88.50 that

gets deducted from our SS checks. They even add features beyond what
Medicare has.

Well, I checked with a friend who just signed up with Universal
Healthcare and they have very similar benefits, but they give back most
of that $88.50 -- even more amazing! And, my current doctor, who isn't
in the Humana plan, IS under the Universal Healthcare plan.

May I ask what Florida county you're in? I live in Lake county and the only
Medicare Advantage Plan I've found so far is the one offer by Quality Health
Plans, Inc.
