California graduation exam overturned

California recently instituted a high school graaduation
requirment that students pass an exam at sixth grade reading and math
levels.
When large numbers of high school students failed it,
laywers sued claiming unequal educational opportunity.
A judge agreed today.

Really makes folks wonder if the judiciary lives on the same planet and/or
in the same dimension normal people live in.

The judiciary and other lawyers live in their own world.
They should all be constrained in some physical way,
perhaps cages or halters.

It all depends on whether a diploma is supposed to mean that
you learned something or that you were just there, I guess.

Well, I think it is suppose to mean something. These children become
adults. As adults then have to find a job and do the job. It sure as heck
does not help them a whole lot if they have difficulty doing a job, that
does require reading and math skills.
