Well, the article may say that construction spending is down but consider this : I want to have my driveway done in concrete. Two days ago I made 5 telephone calls to driveway construction companies for bids: One said he was too busy and didn't have time,. Four had answering machines take my request because they were too busy to answer . I left a name and number and description of the job... Nobody has called me back yet.... I suspect they all have more work than they can get undocumented workers to handle....... ( trust me, ALL concrete work in Navarro county is done by either convicts on parole or undocumented Mexicans ) Seems to me the media is only talking about the neighborhood that their newspaper is located in... As far as the housing market, look and see whether your real estate tax appraisal goes up or not...... Glenn...
