I'm looking to unload my present cable ISP (Cox).
DSL is not available here in Poway (as near as I can tell).
Guess I'll wait for this new stuff.

I chose this group 'cause I know there are some smart people on board.
I have this question:
what is 100th of 11 seconds? Or, 100 times faster that 11? Or if I
have dsl service giving me download speed of 1.802 Mbps, what would be
100 times faster?

Although your speed to the Internet may be 100 times faster, the server
you are accessing may not be able to keep up.

My understanding is that MS will be the server.
Frederick, it will not be dsl, so you don't have to worry about a
central office problem. Also, I was telling a co-worker about this
and he said they have it in Japan already.
So it may not be totally new technology.

I meant the web servers that you are accessing, they may be so loaded
that your web pages may not appear as fast as they could.
Some communities in Utah are getting fiber to the homes which will be
much faster than other technologies. Perhaps you will be able to get
something like that.
