How to Live to 1,000

Sir Frederick...
Become a really big mole-rat.

California Poppy...
But, Sir Frederick, do we really want to live 1,000 years? I know that
I don't.

Rumpelstiltskin...
I do, but I don't want any more knee surgery! And I don't want
open-heart surgery even once! I want to live a thousand years
all at age 20.

Think no more, lad; laugh, be jolly:
Why should men make haste to die?
Empty heads and tongues a-talking
Make the rough road easy walking,
And the feather pate of folly
Bears the falling sky.

Oh, 'tis jesting, dancing, drinking
Spins the heavy world around.
If young hearts were not so clever,
Oh, they would be young for ever:
Think no more; 'tis only thinking
Lays lads underground.

--- Housman

O mistress mine, Where are you roaming?
O stay and hear, Your true love's coming.
That can sing both high and low.
Trip no further, pretty sweeting,
Journey's end in lover's meeting,
Ev'ry wise man's son doth know.

What is love? 'tis not hereafter.
Present mirth hath present laughter:
What's to come is still unsure:
In delay there lies no plenty:
Then come kiss me, sweet and twenty
Youth's a stuff will not endure!

--- Shakespeare

"Necessity is the plea for every infringement of human freedom: it is the
argument of tyrants; it is the creed of slaves" -- Wm. Pitt the Younger

Sir Frederick...
The situation is so absurd, makes no difference to get more so.
So why not? "Wanting" has nothing to do with longevity.
