To Budapest for a long weekend. Smashing it was, though the weather could

Ain't not never been there, nor have I ever thought about going there ;-)
And it's too late now, I'm afraid.
Thanks for sharing the photos. I found the Holocaust Memorial shoes very
moving. Says a lot about man's inhumanity to his fellow man.

and also a lot about man's feeling for his fellow man. I didn't know what
it represented at the time, but still it gave me a feeling of sadness. The
person who made it was obviously gifted to be able to convey that without
words and by intriguing me made his message even more effective.

I really enjoyed those photos Boo, some beautiful buildings. The
Memorial of the shoes was very touching!
Thanks for the trip Boo.

Beautiful!

It was and the sculpture of the shoes was very moving, I wasn't really
sure what it was till I got home and searched the web for but there was a sadness about
it that I couldn't place - felt it especially when I looked at the tiny
shoes that obviously belonged to children.
|
And the frames behaved themselves well:)))
Tickettyboo...
|
Well, pictures look nice in frames

Lovely piccies Boo. Beautiful buildings and the sight of all those shoes
Tickettyboo...

Glad you liked them jamps. You would have laughed today at my hamster
wheel. They know me of old and when I get back from a jolliday they all
peek at my website to see the pics. One of the ladies passed by my desk
and said she had seen the pictures and enjoyed them. A quite young man who
runs round the wheel with us atm, was a bit bemused cos he hadn't seen me
handing any pics round and he hadn't seen them, so I told him to look on
the web at lunchtime.
Such amazement that an old lady like me has a website!! and he kept
saying you 'have ' been to a lot of places LOL
|
was very sad.

Lovely pictures Boo. Looks like a good place to visit. The Holocaust
memorial was very moving.

Nice pics! BTW it's a well known fact thatturkey midwives will travel
vast distances to attend to their patients. :)
Tickettyboo...
|
LOL it really made me giggle, I kept thinking of the poor person who has
to actually drive round in it, can't do a lot for your street cred :-)
|
|
The city was beautiful, I loved the old buildings and we tootled round on
the extremely clean and punctual Metro and the trams for 3 whole days for
less than it would cost for a return bus trip to Derby from my house.

|
Ever thought about setting up business as a bargain break seller ??? :-)
Tickettyboo...
|
nope, its all there on the web at your fingertips. All it takes is a bit
of surfing and a willingness to be flexible about where you go and when. I
tend to look and see where the cheap flights are going to at the times I
can go, then I decide where I am going :-)
|
|
There was a nice Christmas market on and lots to see and do.
Pressies for everyone, you do all like Goulash, don't you?

|
Beautiful piccies, beautiful city, on my SKIing list too. It reminds me a
lot of Prague.
|
but be warned, Boo uses those evil frames for her piccy site so probably
no-one will be able to see them - or if you do, then your poota will
pmj...
|
Nope, most people (using most Web Browsers) *will* be able to see
them!!!
The various probs caused by using Frames on Web sites don't normally
actually stop the stuff from being Viewed...
They just cause probs with things like trying to BookMark &/or refer
back to particular parts of it & cause probs for the Writer/Maintainer
of the Site, when it comes to trying to Update stuff on it & keeping
the Navigation all "in synch"
|
prolly curl up its toes and shuffle off its mortal coil. LOL
pmj...
|
Well My Computer (my nice new shiny Apple Laptop) has just Packed up!!!
It won't Boot Up at any more!!! (at the moment)...
jamps...
|
lol Where is Techy-Boo when you need her?
|
That's cos the Hard Disk has had Zeros written all over it (including
over the Partition table - both the Protective MBR & also the GPT
(GUID Partition Table)...
But don't worry (not that you were anyway!) - That isn't anything
at all to do with your Site using Frames!
It's cos I have been "testing & experimenting" with it & am in the
process of Repartitioning it all & Installing various different
Operating Systems on it.

Thanks for the piccies Boo. No problem with the frames at all. No wonder I
couldn't find you in Derby this weekend lol

Was a last mintue decision Jen, only booked the flights late on Wed night
and went away on Thurs :-) Think it and do it is my motto, life's too
short to waste time .
Did you take any photos on your trip? Matlock isn't too far away from here
and its a nice place, bit busy in the summer though

Nice reminder to me of Prague thanks. I actually knew the name of the *
Baroque church* but I'd need to hunt through my piccies to remind me.

beautiful buildings Boo.

There are a lot of modern buildings too and just like our cities,
sometimes you have to look 'up' above the plate glass of the shops to see
how lovely they are. Next time you are in your high street look up and
see the top half of the buildings, we have some in Derby which are
gorgeous but if you only look at the botom half its just shops with big
windows.
