After seeing WO's holiday place. I put in my wo*k postcode and then my home
one. I was amazed.

This is far easier and no software to download/install.

Or use:
That offers a choice of *both* the web-search Maps (& Satellite) Info
& also the M$N Virtual Earth (M$ Live Local) Info, all in the same
thing in some areas, web-search has better (more detailed/higher Resolution)
coverage than M$N/Live Local, but in other Areas the M$N one has the
better Views - & also, some of the web-search stuff is more up to Date than
the M$N stuff.
It's quite interesting comparing them!
:-)
OK, it (the FlashEarth one) doesn't include the Postcode Search that
web-search & M$N themselves offer, but you can Point & Click & Drag/Pan
& Zoom it, so you can soon look at anywhere you want.
& it gives you a thing to get a Link to anywhere, so you can Post it up.

You got it right now. You can choose to eliminate road names by
unchecking the checkbox. Some places are better mapped than others form
the aerial point of view.

Nice one but, like web-search earth, a little out of date. That is to be
expected though.
John the R-T...

Not so out of date in other places though. I can see my Passat parked
outside mums house.
|
Putting "Mundells, Welwyn Garden City AL7 1, United Kingdom" into the
search bar still shows the old Smith Kline Beacham building and all
the old factories in the centre of the one way system. SKB was
demolished two years ago and all the old factories have been replaced
by modern prefabricated buildings.

If you click on the *W* compass point, you can see it from that
direction... and try the other compass points too.

Look at the school on the left. From the lower right hand corner, look
right. Two rooflines are more towards the school. The upper one is my house.
You can see the green grass in the walled front garden. Bit out of date now
:)
