Another sad day

put to sleep. It wasn't anything like I expected as he cried when he was
sedated, and then he was violently sick. I feel like my heart is breaking at
this moment as I'll be going to bed shortly, and he always sleeps by my

Oh Splodge I am so sorry. That must have been so upsetting. This might help.

That is an awful experience Splodge. Whe my old diabetic Sandie was put to
sleep it was more unexpected. His lungs just filled up with fluid that
evening and was in terrible distress. But as I cuddled him whilst the vet
administered the lethal injection he purred right up to his little heart
stopped. I'm certain you'll remember all the good times though, and the
fact that Kafer had a wonderful life.

As all of us who has had to do the same with our pets Jan, I can really feel
for you. But what a week you have had (((HUG))) God help you over this sad

I'm so sorry to hear about Kafer, Splodge.
It's hard enough to put a pet to sleep, but having him
get sick in the process makes it doubly worse.
We still miss our jorji who was put to sleep in February.
So I can imagine how sad you must feel.

they are given an injection and all over in a minute;-)

Yes a sad day Jan but much more i know, pain, guilt, emptiness and many
more. An earlier Dog of mine was put to sleep with the vet visiting the
house and he asked if i could call her as i did for that injection and i
have never ever forgiven myself as she trusted me. With Val as well it
has surely been a riugh time for you. Take care Jan (((hug)))

It will take quite long time before you will start to feel ease, - Kafer
had a good, well cared for life with you, try to console yourself with that
in mind. And your sister, Val, was a good age and by accounts she lived her
life by doing the right things. For sure you will feel heart-broken. My
sympathies for you. I will email you before long.
