I thought for a minute I could blame you for this 'man cold' equivalent
that I'm suffering!
Re the hayfever... do you like/eat honey? I suffered from hayfever for
years and doing what I do, it was a right Royal pain, I can tell you. A
couple of years ago, actually it's thanks to Kerfuffles/ formerly Bagpuss,
as it was on a trip to visit her that I was persuaded to try honey and
loved it but I digress... I started eating it regularly. I've not really
gone into how or why, other than understanding that, like many homeopathic
treatments, it is the tiny, regular doses of pollen ingested with the
honey, but I have to say, last year I barely suffered at all, apart from
late on in the year, for a month or so.

I know it isn't the same, but one of the guys who w*rked in my dept when I
was w*rking in industry had hiccups every few minutes, which lasted for
over a year. Now that does put a real burden on you.
Anita...
|
Yes, but what we have is hayfever or allergic rhinitis ;)

I didn't believe in hayfever until I was 22. Then I met a guy in Eastcote
(West London) at w*rk who really suffered from it. Until then I had never
met anyone who displayed symptoms of it. I got the impression it only
existed in the South of England. In fact I still don't know anyone up
here in the (almost) north of England who has it.

That is cos you have more rain than us - washes the pollen away ;)

When I was w*rking in the SE (before the 1980s) it seemed there were lots of
people having sickies due to it - still never see it much up here though.

I know a few with hayfever way oop here. Not even just general hayfever but
hayfever to particular pollen i.e just the pollen of a particular plant.
