Pam the goose...
Last October Ray did a talk at a Rotary Club outside Warrington. It was one
of his first efforts and went down very well. OK, S&R got nothing out of it
moneywise but at least they got the publicity and word went round that he
was an OK talker so the bookings flooded in:)

On the whole these days the places he speaks at give a donation by
sending/giving him a cheque (made out to S&R!!) of between £30 and £50.

Now, 5 months later, that same Rotary Club has sent a cheque today with a

Pam the goose...
Wow, Paul, you were S&R before it was formed!!

Pingu...
Thats just what I was thinking! I dont read every post in silversurfers
unfortunately ( I dont have the time) but I always highlight anything to do
with the ones I know and read all of them!

covering letter thanking him for his talk and their donation is ..... wait
for it ......... £200!!!

Rabbit...
Well done that man.

Paul Jeffree...
Well done both, cos I'm sure you support Ray in those efforts!

BunnyHare...
That's brilliant Pam
So glad for you all

Ray's absolutely gobsmacked! He's planning to spend it on a second main
radio set. This time it'll be a main set that's programmable via his PC.
Such a thing couldn't be financed when he originally bought the radios.

Rabbit...
That's even better, that Ray has a definite plan for the money.

We can only assume said Rotary Club has come to the end of its financial
year and have had money to spare. How wonderful they thought of Ray and S&R
when they found they had spare money:)

Anita...
That is great indeed, Pam - shows how much he is appreciated :)

Foxy at w**k...
Excellent news Pam. Good on Ray :-)

Jackie...
That is `great` news Pam and it has gone to a very worthy cause!
