Aries...
Has anyone tried the latest beta issue of Internet Explorer 7? I have and
had it running now for 24 hours. All seems hunky dorey so far and although
I use Firefox for my main browser I do sometimes use IE for certain things
like uploading web pages via FTP which is my favourite way of doing that.

I've also tried another beta issue browser called *Flock*
which is well worth a look at, not only is it a fun and interesting browser
but it can also be tied up with Photobucket for quck uploading of photos
which I have done here as a test run :-

mothy...
Yes, I did try it for about three days. It seem to mess up my Internet
Connectivity and my ISP's web site wouldn't operate correctly. There
were a few other sites that would not function including my bank.

I didn't think it as good as my current web browser and I got infuriated
that I couldn't nominate my own search engine without delving into the
registry to force the issue.

It was promptly deleted any my connectivity issues disappeared with it.

I shall not return to it until someone can assure me that it really
works and is configurable from outside the registry.

Aries...
is this Flock you are talking about Maurice, or IE7

mothy...
Sorry it was IE7 :-(

Aries...
Oh right, thanks. Another question, was it the latest version you are
talking about, cos that seems pretty stable to me? I tried the first one
that was issued and that I didn't keep for very long but this one seems
pretty good so far :D

mothy...
I installed IE7 in April / May. The trouble is I abandoned IE6 some
time ago and have got used to tabbed browsing and more besides in other
browsers. IE6 looks so dated and IE7 is just a crib of all the other
smarter browsers that have been around for what seems like ages now.

I've sort of got out of the IE habit and have become happy with what I
now have, which gives me more than IE7 (I think as I'm so prejudiced
now) so I see no need to change.

My experiences with the beta version of IE7 have put me off entirely.

Aries...
I hear what you're saying Maurice and understand, I too prefer other
browsers to IE, namely Firefox which I love, but I do like to keep up with
what is happening elsewhere so that is why I installed the latest IE7
browser which I'm happy to say seems to be behaving itself on the occasions
when I use it :)

I currently use Maxthon
