Gotta DT xword puzzle question.
Can anyone link up these eight words please - take one from each column, so
all 8 words are linked. NO word to be used more than once
stream play
tropical trout
fable storm
grain sack
I can only get "tropical storm" and maybe "trout stream"

Probably too late, but anyway
tropical storm - a meteorological phenonomon
trout stream - a stream fished for trout
grain sack - a sack containing, or intended to contain, grain.
fable play - a dramatisation of one of Ęsop's fables. (I guess)

You say link, so the words must be related but not necessarily a phrase
so how about, fable/play and grain/sack?

Any help will be suitably rewarded with grovelling thanks

grain sack?

Thanks Pam. You and Mike must have typed your emails at the same time. It
still leaves play and fable, and I think the DT have made an error.

There's "grain sack" which only leaves "fable play" or "play fable"

I've never heard of grain sack, but as Pam's suggested that too, I'll go for
that. But I can tell you there's nothing in play and fable wot links up, cos
I looked it up. Bummocks.
Thanks Mike

Thanks for that Pam. They're not usually that obscure, cos I've never seen
the bottom two pairs worded like that before.

Me neither.
But when they bring a new format into being they have to call it
something:))
I could think of a better name, though!
