Yep - tons and tons of it. Mind you I remember gardeners following horses
and carts with buckets and shovels in the old days, and they do say guano
is one of the best fertilizers you can get, and the Chard gardeners will be
getting theirs for free. :)

Nope! The Concise Oxford Dictionary says this:
guano - noun - (pl. guanos)
excrement of seabirds

1 A substance composed chiefly of the dung of sea birds or bats.
2 Any various similar substances, such as fertilizer prepared from fish
parts.

So I reckon that starlings' dung is included.
