Good morning one and all from a mild and dry Cornwall.
Paul Jeffree...

Good afternoon from your occasional lurker...
Grey morning brightening now here in the Forest. After our morning run, she
is out practising her driving.
I'm playing with a very second-hand little Compaq laptop, to be used to feed
a digi-projector so we can view holiday pics BIG!! First time using WinXP -
all very weird ;-)

Damp here, there's been no actual rainfall but the ground isn't drying up
from whenever the rain did fall. There was a beautiful sunrise this morning,
well judging from the little bit of bright red sky I saw above the roof tops
anyway, it's also noticeable lighter earlier now in the morning. Despite the
damp ground out there it is still and very mild.
Good morning one and all.

Overcast, dry and mild - temp 10°C (50°F) atm.
Looking forward to aa appointment at the dentist this afternoon. :(
Anita Carter...
|
Surely, after all these years, you are used to paying visits to the dentist?
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
Nope, I always fear the worst with the condition my teeth are in. :(
Anita Carter...
|
Now, if you had them all out - in one swoop - all your visits and costs to
the dentist would be reduced considerably :)

I've just got back from an appointment with the emergency dentist.
I thought I had an abscess/infection, but couldn't pin down where,
seemed to be in a gap between two teeth where I had a tooth extracted
some time ago. Dentist implied I was wasting his time, but my face was
swollen so he took an X-Ray. Guess what, in the gap between the two
teeth is a piece of root left behind by the previous extraction - and
it's infected.
He said he didn't fancy poking around to try and get it out, I said it
didn't sound like a lot of fun to me either! So I'm on a course of
antibiotics to try and clear it up.
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
Don't worry too much Jeff. Fudge has one of those embedded in his lower
gum. A course of antibiotics saw him OK. It must have been 6 months ago by
now, and he still seems fine. The vet wasn't too keen on digging his out
either.
My dental check up was earlier today. A scale and polish + a couple of
small fillings required, so got another appointment for 10th March. They
gave me an itemised quotation - total cost should be £38-48. That's on the
NHS too..

Good luck, I hope the antis jbex. I have complete empathy with anybody with
a tooth abscess, all but one of the teeth I have lost have been due to an
abscess :-( You don't want to know about the other one but it put me off
dentists for years :-(
|
Aries...
|
Ouch, painful, BTDTGTTS :( Hope the antis clear it up for you soon
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
No thanks. Both my prents had all their teeth out when in their 30s, I
shall hang on to my natural ones as long as possible.
|
((((Jeff))))
|
Good news is their computer is down so they couldn't charge me, but I
expect a bill in the post :-(
|
|
|

|
That'll hurt......................... your wallet :-(
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
Not too much I hope - was less than £10 last time, but then only a check
up. I always worry about what they will find, since my teeth have always
been cavity prone. If there's w*rk to be carried out - that'll cost. :(

|
Hope you and yours are all well.
Have a good day.

Good morning Mike and Everyone. Mild and wet and still dark here.
Hope you have your valentine cards ready for tomorrow!!!!
Enjoy your day.
noreen...
|
Morning Jackie , nobody to send one to ;-)so won't bother , have a nice day
what ever you are doing ;-)))
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
You could send yourself a few Noreen, then display them on the window sill
in your front room. Make the neighbours ever so jealous that would. ;)
noreen...
|
Now that seems a good idea FN thank's ;-))))))
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
|
And of course when you've done it once you can save them all 'til next year
and have a repeat performance for free. ;)

Good morning, all.
Hate to tell you, but I'm up in the middle of the night again. (g)
And, as usual, I'm watching a rerun of "What's My Line".
Can't wait to see who the Mystery Guest is (was!). (g)
noreen...
|
Morning Sea wish we got a rerun of "What's my line " I would love to see
them again.
Have a nice day what ever you do when you get up ;-)))))
~~seadancer~~...
|
Thank you, Noreen.
The Mystery Guest was Sammy Davis. (g)
A *young* Sammy Davis.
~~seadancer~~...
|
PS - The re-runs of "What's My Line" are aired on the
Game Channel here at 3:30 AM.
I assume I'm not the only one up in the wee hours watching it. (g)
noreen...
|
Not sure i have that channel won't be the same as yours i don't suppose
,although
we do get a lot of the old American shows and films . I like them really cos
most I missed first time round ;-))))

Morning Mike, one and all. Seems we had more rain during the night
according to the puddles outside but very much needed so not complaining.
My Tony is having his eyes assessed this morning at hossie because he has
developed with regard to catarracts so he won't be able to drive for a
couple of hours afterwards !
noreen...
|
Morning Val we got a dry pne for a change !! I have to get a cattaract seen
too as well ,had one done 2years ago, but the other one is now ready I think
.;-))))
Aries...
|
how long in hours was it before you could see clearly ?
Anita Carter...
|
I think it depends how you have it done, Val. My brother had his done by
laser and drove home 2 hours after they were done. But he had it done
privately - don't know if they use lasers on the NHS for it yet.
My friend had hers done on the NHS and could see ok within 3 hours but could
not drive for 1 week - I know she did not have it done by laser.
noreen...
|
Afternoon Paul good luck with your laptop hope it does what you want ;-)))
|
Aries...
|
Tony has just rung and apparently this appointment was for testing purposes
only. He will be sent a letter advising him of a date for the actual op
which will be done by local annie. But when that date will be heaven only
knows ;eek:
Anita Carter...
|
As it is a day op - and you are not put to sleep - they are usually done
quickly and you do not have to wait more than a couple of weeks. Wish Tony
luck :)
Aries...
|
thanks Anita, I will pass your message on :)

Good luck with the eye tests Tony. hope they prove to be OK.
Think I may be having to have a similar test on one eye in the forseeable
future. :(
Aries...
|
I don't think it is a painful procedure FN but not having had personal
noreen...
|
Well you had to leave the cover over your eye overnight , but the next
morning it was incredible I could see immediately .
It was a bad one so i was told , so the change was dramatic. I had no
trouble at all with it, you do have to use drops for a while, but it was
worth it to me .;-))))
Aries...
|
that sounds pretty straightforward then, ta Noreen :)
|
|
experience I wouldn't really know.
noreen...
|
You feel nothing and it is quite a pleasant experience , well it was to me .
You are not required to undress, i didn't even take my shoes off .
Afterwards
was given a cup of tea and 2 slices of toast ,then told I could go after
noreen...
|
Not usually very long Val !! the procedure he has had this morning is to
make sure it is needed ,and the eye has to be measured for the implant .;-))
Aries...
|
thanks Noreen, he is back home now and has been told to expect a letter for
the actual op
|
|
checking
that everything was ok.;-))
|
|

|
noreen...
|
Morning Mike and all not a bad morning dry and no frost !! just been
