Hi silversurfers. Little pc problem. Active Shield. My old Norton
VirusScan ran out of time so I installed McAfee. I keep getting this
message " Active Shield not fully installed. I want to re- install the
blasted scan but the Add/Remove gives me the same message &
won't delete the program. In fact the Firewall, which came with the
VirusScan is in the same boat. Simple installation turned into a big
pain. Any ideas, guys? My pc genius son came down the house &
played with my pc. He's gone but I just fixed all the mess he created.:(

Actually, with most of those sort of long URLs, (with all the
Parameters being passed to the Server Script), if the Value of
any of the Parameters passed in the URL (which is what the bits
after the "?" are, separated by the "&" Symbols) are Blank (Empty) -
in other words, if there's nothing after the "=" Symbol of a Parameter
Name - then the Parameter doesn't have to be passed as part of the URL.
& since many of those Parameters in that URL are actually Empty,
then the URL can be given as a much shorter URL...
For example...
& also, since several of those Parameters aren't actually needed -
for instance the "docid=" of the bit referred to by the "src=" bit
& the "nsf=nav.nsf" bit & the "view=" bit - then the whole thing can
actually be given as just...
:-)
Or (for the Previous Document, which mentions the Rnav2003.exe Tool,
rather than the SymNRT Tool)...
