Madge...
Why do they do it??

Foxy at w*rk...
I love to watch them personally :-)

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
They always look a bit kinky to me.
But then I'm probably biased, 'cos we had a teacher at junior school who
was obsessed with Morris dancing and square dancing. So guess what we often
did in PE periods. He was a scout master too and took some of the bigger
boys _camping_ in the holidays. :)

andon...
Camping for boys! Weekend in Brighton?

Rabbit...
Oh. How personally ???:-)

Foxy at w*rk...
lol .....very

Rabbit...
I hope you don't get to see a kilted Scottish dancer then ;-)

Foxy at w*rk...
Oh I do hope to one day :-)

Rabbit...
To watch very personally ??? ;-)

Foxy at w*rk...
I'm saying no more lol

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Very wise methinks. :)

Rabbit...
Chicken :-)

Saxman...
Because it is better than;-

Watching American soaps on TV.
It's sociable.
It's different.
A good excuse for drinking beer.
A reason to go out.
What's better than doing something silly during the Summer equinox at about
4 a.m. in the morning?

MCC...
When's the summer equinox? Do you mean summer solstice (June 21st)?

Keeps one fit.

Troy's Human...
Dunno ....

Like a lot of other Spanish things I suppose. I've been to Spain a couple
of times and didn't like it much. Must say I like Morris Dancing more than
Benidorm though.

Madge...
But I thought Morris dancing was very English! What has this to do with the
Spanish??

Troy's Human...
"Morris Dancing" comes from Spain. "Moorish Dancing"

"Morris dancing dates back to the 15th century, and some theories place its
origin in Britain in the 14th century. The dance is descended from an old
Moorish dance of Spain."

Madge...
Well, I have learned something tonight, I honestly never knew that. Thank

Rabbit...
Oh you learn a whole lot of things in UPS, some of it is even useful. BTW
Madge welcome to UPS, are you going to stick around and let us get to know
you?

Madge...
Well, I hope so. this group was reccommended to me

Madge...
If you'll let me!

JoeH...
Of course we'll let you Madge, have you read about us?
Look here if you haven't already.

Rabbit...
Lovely to have you on board, Madge.

you

Troy's Human...
I've got to be honest here - it's not certain :-)

Have a look here :-

Also web-search for "Moorish Dancing". Nobody seems to know for sure.

Must admit that sitting outside a "proper" English pub (not many left) at
this time of year in the countryside in nice weather watching Morris
Dancers is my idea of bliss :-) I'm weird ;-)

And yes, I agree with you re Benidorm. The old town is nice......the rest
you can keep!

andon...

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Come the school holidays he was always _intent_. :)
It's not as bad as Austin Dancers.
They Are sad :-)

andon...

BoyPete...
Or Morris Garages dancers ;)
Dance around old Austins instead of Morris's I guess :-)

Splodge...
Do they come from Austin, Texas?
Splodge

Rabbit...
Pull the other one, it's got bells on it :-)
