Good morning one and all from a foggy Cornwall once again. The forecast
says it will clear later this morning. I certainly hope so.

Been another lovely warm one here all day. The BYT is still here but there
are now some GFTs arriving as it cools down.

ditto from me, I see you are selling your house Mike. Can I put a bid in
for the kitchen please? Have had a poke round the bottom of my second best
handbag and I can rustle up about 56p, an unused return part of a rail
ticket ( back to here of course!) a couple of mintoes ( still wrapped and
some designer fluff.

Wot? No half-sucked pandrops?
The kitchen units were supplied and fitted by B&Q - apart from the flap
over the cooker hob everything was supplied on the day they said it would
be and the fitters were just great. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
If we need (want) a new kitchen wherever me move to, I'd have no worries
about using them again.
Mind you it looks good because of the expert tiling and grouting! The
tiling was done by Son and I did the grouting
Hard to believe it is nearly 3 years (will be in January) since it was all
done.

Good morning Mike and everyone, looks quite nice out there, no fog or mist
and the BYT is trying to appear.
It was a really beautiful day yesterday, so clear and the sun shining, we
went up to Beachy Head and the views were astounding.
I hope the poorlies are feeling better.

My daughter came for breky this morning was seeing her Son off
on a school trip at 7-15 so i told her to come and have some breky with me .
So i did the full English and it was lovely to have her and we both enjoyed
it.;-))))

Oh where's your sense of adventure? We are doing our own. All you need is
the odd lifetime or two, not to mind living in a tip for months, endless
energy and interest in power tools and its a doddle

My DIY skills are nil, especially when it comes to woodwork - I actually
got chucked out of the woodwork class at school LOL - not too bad with
Tickettyboo...

ooh bad boy! Ack-shirley, the units from Ikea go together really easily
( and no bits left over lol)

electrics but what you can do nowadays is limited by the nanny state.
Certificates for this, that and the next.

I believe that you can still do the stuff yourself, as long as someone who
has the necessary qualification gives it the once over and supplies the
certificate. Long as you find a friendly electrician you can just pay him
for the test and cert and still do the w*rk yourself, thereby saving a lot
of money.

A squad of five fitters finished our kitchen, beautifully, in less than a
week. SWMBO would not tolerate your 'chaos' LOL.

Hello Bri, nice to meet you. Beachy Head is really a lovely spot to visit
we live in Bexhill but often go to Eastbourne. We went to Derbyshire years
ago but I forget the name of where we stayed, we really enjoyed it, we used
to walk alot in those days.

We had a week in Eastbourne last year and stayed at the St. Omer hotel.
Derbyshire is a lovely county too. Since I retired at the end of
February, we've been discovering the delights of the southern peak and
its beautiful dales.

I wish I could remember the name of where we stayed in Derbyshire, I
know we enjoyed it there.

Ashbourne is the gateway to the southern peak and one of the favourite
tourist places is Dovedale, but I'm just clutching straws here ;-)

It was very near Dovedale, we stayed in a house shaped like a small
castle that had a dovecot in the garden
that was in the film "Wicked Lady". All a long time ago now!!
