Snap
~~seadancer~~...
|
What does snap mean when used that way?.
It's not in the English Slang Dict.
packed lunch. [Northern and Midlands use/dialect?]"
Where can I find the meaning online, as you use it?
It's very hard to find some of these expressions.

Snap just means two of the same as in the children's card game of the same
name.
FN was saying he had the same weather conditions as Jen.

And everybody's garden looks the same in that :-) There was a piccy in
yesterday's paper of Aberdeen almost buried in snow and Arbroath ( 45 miles
away according to the press who's word I'll have to take for it) where there
were folk basking in sunshine at the harbour. I've just had mail from a
friend 12 miles away saying it was snowing there a short time ago, they are
in a valley though and often get snow/frost/hail etc when we don't.

I've been hearing news reports that you've had an explosion up your way
- hopefully not too close?

I've just searched the web for. That's where my husband used to jbex and not too far away
from here. I used to know quite a few folk who jbexed there but most ( all)
of them took early retirement in the past few years so I can't think of
anybody to ask what happened. It makes Penicillin so there are a lot of
chemicals, and a lot of dust so it could be anything. It's situated pretty
much out in the country so there shouldn't be any danger to neighbouring
communities.

Thanks, MCC. I don't play Snap too often.
So it didn't register with me.
I guess it's the same as saying "ditto".

I see that the BYT was coming up too. (g)

Yes, it is the first time I have seen the sunrise since last autumn because
it has been hidden behind the house across the road until today.
Spring is on the way :-)
Snow has all gone now. Temperture on my car thermometer coming back from
the Adult Education College was 7°C (45°F)
~~seadancer~~...
|
I wouldn't mind 7°C (45°F), Mike.
We have 27°F / -3 °C right now.
Interesting the way the sun changes its angle.
At different seasons it comes in the window and
fades different photos. I have to keep pulling the
shades or moving the photos. The sun also
faded the wood on my curio cabinet over the years.
