Does anyone know who took over the Alder stores ?

AFAIR Debenhams were going to take over some if not all.

I need a biggish dept store near Leeds. We have been looking for beds and
bedding, we decided the guest room which has been blue for years needed a
makeover, we decided we would like a nice soft peach or lemon duvet cover
.... not possible all the bedding are earthy colours at the moment, chintz
is out along with peach and lemon.

ASDA ? The last time I walked up that aisle they had lots of colours.

Clover/Alders used to have a huge selection of curtains bedding and beds.

Marks & Spencers might be able to help, as could House of Fraser or even
Matalans.
Isn't there a branch of Harvey Nicholls in Leeds? I remember reading
something about it a while back.

I am going to check out M&S I looked in House of Fraser in Skipton, didn't
see anything, I don't know about Harvey Nic's, bit upmarket.

Thank's Banana, we have been to Leeds today and checked them all out, none
of them had the colours we were looking for, we ended up in Leeds Market and
found one we liked, they didn't have a duvet cover only a throw, so we
bought that and the matchng curtains , not sure it was a good idea though,
we went to Keighley this afternoon and bought a bed, just up to Hubby Jack
to work his wonders with his paint brush ;-)

It replied - "Help us find Leeds" :-))
It offered Leeds, Yorkshire and Leeds, near Maidstone, Kent.

Lol, the Kent one is a Castle. I'm sure they've got bedding, but
wouldn't sell any !

Visited there when I lived in Ramsgate - must have missed the John Lewis
branch :-)
