This one intrigues me,
Police to scan your fingerprints at the roadside,
But in the article it states,
Fingerprints can only be taken from the public voluntarily using the
system because the law prevents officers from forcing people to give
prints on the street.
So let's assume they stop a criminal, Is He/She going to allow their
fingerprint to be scanned, or will they decline?
I think the answer is obvious :/

When it is introduced it will be voluntary with the intension of
pretending not to affect people's personal liberties, then, when it is
well established, it will be made compulsory with the justification that
too many wrong uns are refusing to cooperate and are thereby wasting
police time.

But if they decline, they will then be taken to the station. At a
police stop/check now they can refuse to be searched but if they do and
the stop was for a good reason, they can be arrested and searched at
the police station and, if necessary, de-arrested. Don't worry, the
police will do their job OK.

At which point the police arrest them on suspicion of giving a false name,
take them to a police station and take their fingerprints.
At present the new system is experimental, so the law hasn't yet been
changed to require suspects to provide fingerprints on the street.
It will be.
