Is it possible to buy a Whisky botled in 1941

If so I would like to see about buying one for FIL's 65th Birthday but
don't know where to look

Gareth...
How about a mature *1941 Armagnac from Baron de Sigognac 1941* ?

It's from this web site.

For a drop of the finest, try aberlour malt - beautiful stuff - particularly

Thanks Chris I have added to favs to look later

Graham...
You could give these a call...

Foxy at w**k...
Thanks Graham I rang them and unfortunately because of the war there was
very little whisky brewed so if they could get a bottle it would cost
over £1,000

MCC...
I think you may have more luck if you look for a whisky that was
*distilled* in 1941 rather than bottled in that year, because Scotch whisky
has to be at least 3 years in the cask before it can be bottled.
I'm sure it's available but it will be at a price! A bottle of wine or port
might be an alternative.
If he needs any help to drink it, I'm your man

Foxy at w**k...
lol I bet you are

I will keep looking for whisky for now a it is by far his favorite
tipple but I did think about port or wine too

Many whiskies are in extremely limited supply and very few war-time
distillations are available on the market. 1941 is a particularly bad
year. We can obtain a 1942 Mortlach which retails at around £630-the
kind of price you would expect to pay for whisky this age. I will try to

Rabbit...
Or at an even greater price, rumour has it there are still bottles of Whisky
about which washed ashore on Eriskay from the SS Politician in 1941 ;-)

Foxy at w**k...
Do you know anyone with a bottle Sandra :-)

Rabbit...
I wish. If I had one I reckon I'd be sitting in my villa in the Bahamas just
now :-)
