Starting to look a wee bit better, had the bedroom
floor up today so all the lighting and wiring is in
the right place and w**king.
All the paper off the walls and ceiling, just needs
cleaning up now and a few more holes filled then
we get paper and paint and slap it on (in theory)
Still a long way to go.

Hello, I've just joined the group.... well, actually I've been lurking for a
while.
Can someone please explain why nobody uses the 'w' word, they use w**k or
jbex instead. Are there any more rules I should know about?
:o) Thanks
Annie

That's about it Annie. Being mostly retired people in here, paid employment
mention is tantamount to sacrilege. Hence *w* word, w*rk and jbex (ROT13 of
w*rk)
And welcome to joining the group - hope we're everything you wanted. :)

Hi Annie,
Welcome to the group, FN has explained about the W word, there are
other words that can't be used in here, like Chr****as, they are a real
grumpy lot in here and some of them get upset easily .
If you have been lurking you may have noticed that I upset them a lot and
they keep sending me to the bunker.

But we love you really :-)

Keep posting Annie and you will soon get to know us, tell us a bit about
yourself because they are a nosy lot in here too. :o))

And if you haven't been there yet, take a butcher's at our website to find
out more about us - biogs, whereabouts and most importantly, our birthdays,
so you can plan well in advance to get us all sooper dooper pressies. :)

It's taken me all evening to read the website from cover to cover.

I didn't realise there were so many genealogists here, I'm one too but only
since 2004. I was also a linedancer....and I use PSP, have three border

I was born in St Mary Cray. Mum still lives in Orpington.
There is a little more about me at
Needs updating as I now have two Great Grandaughters. Youngest a week
old today.
I'm on an Enforced Leave of Absence as my broadband connection is
dodgy.
|
I am 56 in December, married to Tom with three sons and three
granddaughters.... oh, and a lodger. Unfortunately, I still w*** but only
part time, I'm also a carer for my Mum who is partially sighted.
Other hobbies beside genealogy, are digital imaging, computer animation and
dressmaking, I w*** and play on computers and love gadgets, my latest is a
Tom Tom to go with my PDA.
I should get on with you all as I'm grumpy too and I simply dread Ch****mas.

Hi Bri
So we are both new members! That's a good idea putting your county after
your name. Derbyshire is a lovely place to live. We went caravanning
around Buxton and Hope once, very rocky, very beautiful. His nibs was
looking for places to paraglide.

I'm only about a 15 minute drive from the Hope valley. Straight up the A57
towards Snake pass and left tow Bamford at Ladybower reservoir. Some
gorgeous landscaped there. Especially the jview from the top of Win Hill.

You are very lucky.
