That's right - the shortest day is the 21st December. But sunsets get later
as from tonight and sunrises go on getting later until the 28th December.

Nope !! I live in Lincolnshire and what I've said is correct for here. I
think that where you live the sunsets will start getting later tomorrow
rather than today.
