Just been outside spending an enjoyable 1½ hours in bright sunshine washing
the car. Gizmo, as usual, came and stretched out on the pavement a few
yards away to oversee the job. The primary school kids started coming home
along the crescent with their young Mums. Gizmo got up and sidled over to
each small group as it arrived by the car and rubbed their legs. He was
greeted by the kiddies with a loving "Hello Gizmo". Now most of these kids
don't live on our road and I have no idea who they are. So how is it they
know his name? Does he have a set of introductory cards that he's handed
out in the past? More likely I suppose is that his name has been handed on
to them by friends. Well Gig has lived here 12 years now.

But it could be worrying too, couldn't it, when you read about the
terrible things some people do to animals.

I am pleased in a way really FN that he is not sociable or some of our
older residents may try feeding him and enticing him in to their
apartment.

I don't think I have too many worries on that Jackie, he rarely strays far
these days, and seems to find my feet are a lovely pillow when it's
bedtime, so he's always home early these days..
