Carpet dints from furnature!

Spotted Pat's upholstery query earlier and thought I'd add a carpet Q!

Looked for uk.carpet.dints but couldn't find anything.

Thinking about moving me furniture around a bit but ain't keen on the dints that the
furniture castors have made.

I know I can't get rid of them completely but is there a good way of reviving the fibres
and making them stand up a bit?

It's a wool carpet, 80% I think, short pile very dense.

Put ice cubes on and leave them to melt. picked that hint up of t.v worked
for them not tried it myself though.

Haven't tried it myself yet Banana but I have heard that going over
it with a hot iron puts the carpet back in good order.

But put a t towel over it first or you could scorch it
