MCC...
For some wee while now I've been using the FireFTP extension for Firefox to
upload files to my websites. It does just what it says on the tin.
I recommend it, but then I also like Filezilla - available here -
:-)

JoeH...
I can also recommend FireFTP having used it for a year or so.

MCC...
Thanks, Joe. Good to have my opinion confirmed :-))

How does it differ from using IE as an ftp client???

MCC...
It's quite similar to IE in that the files on your hard disk are in the
left pane, the files on the web page are in the righthand pane and you drag
from one to the other, or just select them and click on the directional
arrow.

Does one have to be using firefox to utilise it?

MCC...
To use FireFTP you must be using Firefox because it is an extension to that
program. The beauty is that it's only 100k in size.

Filezilla is a stand-alone program about 12 Mb in size.

Thanks Mike... For some unknown reason FF and I didn't get on

Aries...
I was the same at first WO but on persevering I discover ways of doing this
and that and adding interesting extensions and themes. Now I wouldn't use
any other browser, I just love FireFox :D

Saxman...
It is portable though.

Ali...
Seems rather large, my stand alone FTP client is just over 1MB including all
its support files.

Aries...
and which one is that purty please ?

Ali...
that is.

Aries...
thanks, it looks very much like FireFTP
