maybe the use it like I do? - I tend to use it more like a Phone [*1] -
I Log in to the Skype Service (most of the time my PC is Running)
But I set the Status to "Invisible" - that means that it will accept
& show Incoming Calls, but if I'm not actually *at* the PC (or can't
Answer, for one reason or another), it then Shows as a "Missed Call"
& goes to the VoiceMail.

I can then Call back when I get a chance, or Send a voiceMail back
in return.

With a normal Phone, you never actually *know* whether the person is
actually there, when you Ring the Number, do you?
Bu tyo ustill Ring them, when you want to get hold of them?

That's the way I tend to think of Skype - if anybody wants me,
they can try Calling me, thern if I can Answer I will.

I think the idea perpetrated by some of the other "IM - Instant
Messaging" things of continually advertising whether or not someone
is "Online" (which is known as "Presence Management" isn't necessarily
always Helpful - either to the Caller or the Rerceiver of the Calls.

Just cos you may be showing as "Online", doesn't neccessarily mean
that you can (or will) actually Answer all Calls, does it?

& vice versa - just cos you (or a Caller) can't *see* whether someone
is Online, doesn't (or needn't) Stop you from trying to call them.

OK - I've Removed your Name from My Skype Contacts List & Added
it again - that seems to be the only way I can get it to make sure
to "Share the Contact Details", which I assume is the Option which
Sets whether or not the Pic shows up.

I also have it Set to Show the Pic to people in my Contacts List,
in my Profile (in the Section labelled "Details which only my Contacts
will See")

So have a look in there? - do a Search for my Skype Name (or just
RightClick it in your Contacts List) & choose "View Profile"

Yes you're now showing as just "Janet."

Bear in mind that 2.0 is a *beta* version and not a full release and
as such may have undiscovered "features" (bugs). It seems to work OK
for me though.

This is working fine Joe, thank you, only thing is I am not !! I am to busy
playing ,errrr working with it. And todays "do list" is not getting much
smaller.
