A number of obstacles which will most likely make it impossible for me
to use a news reader.
1. My costum mail adress on MY computor is connected to m y
broadband.
2. The Outlook Express on MUM's computor is connected to h e r
broadband.
Or are there other ways to connect to internet in order to use a news
reader?
I have gmail adress. Can I use that in some way?

To use a newsreader, you need an internet cnnection...which you have,
access to a news server...which you 'may' have if your internet service
provider runs one, or you can sign up for a free one, or maybe something
like news.individual.net which charges about 10 euros a year. Oh, and
oodles of time cos its addictive ,g>
So, first of all, which internet service provider are you with? Have a
look on their website and see if they have a news server, if they do they
will usually have instructions on how to set it up.

As Boo says, start with Outlook Express. Every Windows PC comes with
it. You can always change to a better Reader later when you
understand how to use it. It is very easy when you have learned to do
it. Like riding a bike. Only hard when you have not learnt :-)
If your Broadband firm do not provide Free news servers. The get
They will send email back within 24 hrs giving FREE service.
