BunnyHare...
Found a program called Bonjour on the system which appeared to be from

BunnyHare...
Well I am not sure what that all means but apparently the program came
with my Kodak camera and is something to do with sharing pictures

datasmog...
That would make sense. iPhoto on the Mac uses the same technology to
share the picture library over a network.
Glad you got it sorted,

BunnyHare...
Yep that's it.

Oh and it seems to have been just coincidence that the wireless
connection worked when that was switched off
It now appears that the problem may have been down to a conflict between
the router and the new wireless doorbell - doh! The help pages for the
router suggested that if there was a problem with the signal it could be
a conflict with something else wireless and to change the channel on the
router. Did that and hope it will be ok now

Apple computers inc. As it was the only thing I couldn't remember
seeing before I renamed it and rebooted the computer. Hey presto, no
problems and the upstairs computer and lappy now connect to the
internet. It would appear therefore that Bonjour was the problem and
can be deleted from the system - unless anybody tells me differently

Coats...
I have it, it was installed as part of an upgrade for my Kodak
camera/printer system. Its part of the picture printing stuff they have
installed.
Have you got a kodak camera? It could be part of this.

Tickettyboo...
Oh good for you finding out what the problem was.

BunnyHare...
Thanks. I hate to let things get me beat although sometime soon I think
I should have a session in the bike shed if only to keep up with the
Joneses

Maybe it installed as part of something else? Did you install anything
recently - maybe Quicktime or something? Sometimes they do have other
stuff bundled and unless you look very carefully its hard to spot.

BunnyHare...
The only things I installed recently were Windows updates, a new version
of Skype and ErrorClean but it could have come with one of those

JoeH...
Just for info - I'm up to date with Windows Updates and have the latest
Skype - Bonjour *does not* appear on my system, so it's probably(possibly)
not one of those.

As for removing it, if its in Add/Remove progs then it should be a doddle,
if it isn't it may be a bit more involved to get shot of it all, but if
you have nobbled it by renaming it there isn't any rush.

BunnyHare...
It is in Add/Remove progs but as you say it is nobbled at the minute so
I will wait a while.

Tickettyboo...
Maybe it would be a good idea to 'un-nobble' it just before you eventually
use add/remove progs to get shot of it. If you re-named it then add/remove
progs will have trouble finding it to remove.

BunnyHare...
Yes, thought about that. I wasn't very inventive in the way I renamed it
so that I would be able to locate it to change it back again
You know, until I came on this group I would never have dared to rename
anything never mind think ahead to the time I might want to name it back
again :-))

JoeH...
It's not in there on mine :-)

BunnyHare...
Thanks Joe
Not sure when it arrived on my system but given the fact that the
problem with the wireless connection only started yesterday I imagine
that is when it appeared
Ah - just a thought - wonder if it has any connection with viewing the
space program - maybe I clicked on the wrong viewer. Just a thought

At least I now have one happy daughter upstairs!
