Welcome home Barb

BunnyHare...
Thanks, good to be back
Not that many posts :-)) Almost 2000

Rabbit...
And those are just FN's ???;-)

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
You're only saying that 'cos you ran out of digits to count on. :)

MCC...
Welcome back, Barb :-)
Glad you had a great time. I used to enjoy my Boys' Brigade camps. Caught

Rabbit...
You might have to explain to them south of the border ( not just Suverners)
what the Boys' Brigade is :-) Son joined them 'cos they played footie but
the Scouts didn't. Might not be the best reason for joining the BB but at
least he experienced one of the organisations.

MCC...
Oh, the Boys' Brigade is fairly active down here. They seem to be attached
to Methodist Chapels and other non-Conformist churches rather than Church
of England or other denominations places of worship.

Rabbit...
Now that surprises me, I've had to explain the BB to many south of the

pmj...
Well, down here (that's in the far South of England), there's always
been quite a lot of Boys Brigade stuff.

Yep, it *is* mainly the Methodists that run them, from what I can
gather.

Whereas the Scouts are (& always have been) mainly C of E

border.

my first ever brown trout at my first ever camp - it tasted delicious
barbecued on the camp fire embers :-))

BunnyHare...
Thanks for the welcome back. Sounds like your Boy's brigade camp was
fun and congrats on your first trout (even if it was a few years ago)
This was the adults camp so no girls to worry about, very relaxed camp.
I look forward to it all year to have a chance to re-charge the
batteries.
Have a long weekend camp in September with the girls. Wasn't sure if I
would be going now I am retired but they still want me as a gopher

and legs much darker than when I left and it's not dirt because I had a
shower and it won't wash off!

Tyke...
LOL

Welcome back Barb.

BunnyHare...
Thanks Russell

Sounds like you had fun :-)

BunnyHare...
Oh we did. A group of ladies, mostly 60 plus, acting out their youth
:-)))

Rabbit...
Welcome home.

Jackie...
Glad to have you back Barb. Sounds like you had a lovely time.
Your description of the early morning brought back memories of Bagpuss,
thanks for that Barb.
I expect you feel too `closed in` indoors after your outdoor holiday. The
food sounds very good too.

Tickettyboo...
Lol reminds me of when the children were small. Thsi time of year they
would be so brown the standing order at bath time was scrub till they
yell, then you know you have hit skin!

BunnyHare...
Hee hee. Well I didn't quite scrub till I yelled but did have a good go
at it. Some of the black on the hands though was from scrubbing all the
soot off the pans. We cook over an open fire and the pans get filthy
but have to be returned in their silver looking state! Lots of pan
scourers and elbow grease

Sounds like you had a good time Barb, welcome home

BunnyHare...
Brilliant and thanks for the welcome home

Had a really good time, good friends, lots of fresh air and exercise. A
family of swallows were nesting in the shelter. 5 babies - the parents
were kept very busy feeding them - they have grown wings over the week
and were busy exercising them this morning so think they will soon be

Anita...
Nice to see you back again barb - certainly seem to have had a good time
and what weather you picked:)

BunnyHare...
Thanks for the welcome back. Yes, had a great time now I have to get
back into the normal routine.

Looking forward to seeing the piccies

BunnyHare...
Sorry! Somebody forgot to pack the camera

Old Grizzly...
i suppose a camp fire in the lounge isnt on then :-)

flying off.
Lots of rabbits around in the field. We could hear the muntjac deer

Rabbit...
I wasn't watchimg you, honest ;-)

barking then one morning I got up around 4 am and sat outside the tent
to watch the sunrise and saw a couple of the muntjac's crossing the
field from one copse of trees to the other, also saw a vixen and a cub.
Glorious sunsets and beautiful sunrise.
When we went on a walk we passed through a wooded area and saw wild
pigs.
The top field is full of pink and purple orchids, lady's slippers, pink
and white clover.
Oh and guess who forgot to take the camera :-(((

Old Grizzly...

Hmmm or was it that you are embarressed by the photos i wonder LOL

BunnyHare...
You'll never know!!

Old Grizzly...
as long as friends stay friends LOL

Rabbit...
Silly Billy :-)

BunnyHare...
Was a bit, wasn't I. Ah well, next year

pmj...
I thought she said in her Post that she forgot to take the camera?...

So what piccies are you expecting to see?

Troy's Human...
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rabbit...
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CHOOO :-) Bless you :-)

The Trobbit...
It's my Mummy :-))

Hello Mummy :-)

Rabbit...
Hello my little darling, I hope you are behaving yourself and using those
big sad eyes to collect some cash out of your grandpa. Just be careful when
the moths start flying :-)

Hmm pressies. A few Deer Park badges, packets of crisps, apples and
oranges (left over from the camp) and some little flower fairies badges
I made

Rabbit...
Wot no booze ??? Oh well I'm sure a flower fairy badge will be a collectors
item in years to come so I'll have one of them. Eh wait a minute if they are
going to be collector's items I should grab the lot while I have the chance

BunnyHare...
The booze all went into the food! We had pork chops marinaded in sherry
Then lamb marinaded in red wine and made into a stew with lentils
Chicken in white wine
Whisky beef pot roast
Oh then on Saturday we had fish and chips delivered!

Oh the flower fairies will certainly be collector's items. Barb doesn't
really do craft but just occasionally there is one she can get her head
round

noreen...
Sorry Sandra I have been promised one of those !!! and just imagine
forgetting her camera ?
double silly Billy;-)))))

:-)

Splodge...
Sound like you had a great time Barb.

Foxy at w*rk...
Hi Barb, said hello in'tother place

Welcome back
Splodge

Aries...
welcome back Barb :) I'm so pleased you enjoyed yourself inspite of your
hayfever problem. You certainly saw some lovely natural sights, what a
shame about the camera, still your descriptions make the pictures come
alive in my head :)

BunnyHare...
Thanks for the welcome back Val. The hayfever wasn't too much of a
problem after the first day/night. I had a spray and some tablets and
the first aider got me an Olbas inhaler.
Yes it was a shame about the camera but I did try to convey the picture
and it looks as if you managed to get the idea. Trying to adjust to
being back in a house now. I want to be outside
next
