Pingu...
I came back a couple of hours ago from the all new socialisers group for the
folk who attend the Revive MS Therapy centre for treatment. It used to run
so im told in one of the units owned by revive bit was disbanded some time
back. I asked the lovely Nicola about it and she told me it used to run
until one of the organisers left. But tonight was the first might of the all
new socialisers group held in a pub/restraunt close to the clyde tunnel. It
was so nice to meet folk we all knew from attending such things as Yoga and
Pilates but now we were out to enjoy ourselves and have an informal chat and
a few laughs as well! there were about 12 of us in total one or 2 faces I
didnt know due to not being in the centre at the same time. It was great
being among folk who I have a lot in common with, we share a lot of the
experiences we have gone through so understand where we are all comming
from. No strange looks when we stumble or get the wobbles, as we all know
what its like :-))

Rabbit...
I'll pop out tomorrow and buy a wedding hat then :-)

Pingu...
A bit early I think. I was talking with her today and once again she offered
me a bunch of Bananas. (she wants to throw them out long before they need to
be trown) The ones she gave me 2 weeks ago ran out the other day. They were
fine!

I have had an amazing night with a fantastic crowd ! I may not take the car
next week, and mange to have a drink as well .

jackie...
That was `great` you had a good evening with friends, I hope it grows in
popularity.

Pingu...
Yes, Huge success it was. :-))

Rabbit...
That's a good idea to leave the car, sounds like a wonderful social/support

BunnyHare...
Sounds like a good group Pingu. Hope you manage the next meeting and
are able to have a drink too

Pingu...
Was a wonderfull group of folk. It really helped one man come to a decision.
He was diagnosed with MS some time back but didnt take any action to get
involved with any anyone who can offer support. His friend told me he was
nervous about the get together as he expected a bunch of cripples. But he
felt really at home with a fairly lovely bunch of good humoured fun loving
folk that have been there too. He now is going to attend the therapy centre
as he'll feel more at home. :-))

BunnyHare...
That is great that somebody was helped as well as having a nice social
get together.
The lady who lives opposite has MS but don't think we have anything like
that group here

Pingu...
society and I have this in my faves folder

BunnyHare...
Have looked at those, interesting
Not sure whether she was given the pack when she was diagnosed but two
of her daughters are nurses so I imagine they have access to information

When she was diagnosed, she may have been given an Info pack that may have
contained details of such a place like Revive. I do think thay have other
cenres around britain.

group for you and it will do you the world of good.
