Just looking at the Oak Tree over the way and it is covered in acorns it is
full of them, big one as well I have never seen so many on it.
Any one else noticed in there area the same sort of thing with berries on

Lots of rowan berries here and the walnut tree is covered in walnuts.
Sign of a bad winter apparently when the trees supply lots of food for
the birds/animals

I think it's more likely to be a sign that this summer was both warmer and
wetter than normal.
Now what effect THAT will have on the winter, I don;t know.....

I can't say as I have noticed Biffo, I would have thought it had been too
dry around this area.

I think being near the seaside most of our trees are ornamental, I will have
a look out at the orchards when we go out on one of our trips to Kent,
Garden of England!

I have a real dislike of one certain Oak tree here in Oz.
It belongs to my neighbor and when it sheds it's leaves they all end up
clogging my pool filter!!

Annoying isn't it? We have a big sycamore tree which is on some
communal land and all its leaves seem to end up in my garden

We're in the same boat, far more berries/nuts than usual.
