Better get in before FN :-)

Taken this morning while out walking.

Mine have all gone now. :(

Michaelangelo...
There are lots of different varieties of Snowdrop, including autumn
flowering ones, as well as the more common Winter flowering ones.
Snowdrops, like Crocuses, flower according to the length of daylight.
Flowering is not affected by temperature, sunlight etc. So what you've
found is a naturally flowering Autumn variety not evidence of seasonal
change.

Snowdrops are not native to the UK. Different varieties come originally
from Greece, Turkey and the Crimea etc. What we consider to be the
'traditional' January flowering variety came to Britain from Italy in
the seventeenth century. By mixing varieties and given the right
conditions - soil, shade, humidity etc it's possible to have them in
flower from November through to February. Not easy, though as they are
quite fussy about the conditions. I managed it once during the early
eighties. For the last 21 years I've been a flat dweller so I've no
garden to see to.

Rabbit...
Way too early, I don't want to see them till Janury. Time is passing quickly

Nope! Your dropped *r* was before my misplaced *a*

Rabbit...
Please insert this *a* in the appropriate place. Is this the first symptom
of FNitis ??? :-)

BunnyHare...
Lovely but far too early!!

Jackie...
Lovely picture, so early. There is a Camelia near where I live in full
bloom, usually about February!
