A crossed line.

I've been having a lot trouble with my ADSL line lately.
The news server keeps timing-out, I lose the connection
to my ISP, I am constantly asked to re-enter my user name
and password, I have even replied to Wally and the reply
is sent to Aries.
My apologies.
Yesterday I was phoning No.2 son and kept on getting
'beeps' int....errupting the conversation and eventually
heard a strange voice "Hello can you hear me".
You bet we could !
It turned out he had just had the phone installed and
our lines had been crossed.And to think I had even
changed my modem, reconnected, then,because there was
no improvement ,changed back again.

I rang BT Complaints to be greeted by a robot who gave me a
choice of numbers through which I met another robot,and
eventually spoke to a real live human being.
He had a foreign accent but there was no going back.
It sounded to me like "It sounds to me like a crossed line,
we'll see about it."

Today I received a call from a another robot this time
a Dalek I think.
"Your line has been repaired. blaah blaah blaah"

Let's hope it has and you get this alright.

You are lucky Sam !! a friend of mine had a full week without there phone
after me ringing and getting the robots too , and was told it is a network
fault!!!;-))

Came through loud and clear Sam so hopefully all is sorted now
It is annoying when you are passed from pillar to post and only get to talk
to robots, isn't it?
