Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary

I forgot to mention but while on my jollidays we called in at the Sidmouth
Donkey Sanctuary and we adopted a donkey
her name is Marguarite (something like that) do not have a piccy at present
as she was in a big field and could not get a good picture.

Aww your very own donkey! That's lovely..and nice to do it this way cos
you don't have the hard w*rk of looking after them

We were surprised at how many donkeys there were there and in nearby farms
as well. I think our Bagpuss had some connection with this sanctuary???

We took our grandchildren then a couple of years ago Jackie and I took some
pictures at the time, perhaps you remember seeing them - here they are

She did Jackie, she was the area welfare officer ( not sure what the title
actually was) for most of Scotland. She cared deeply for the donkeys and
made sure that any who were to be re homed went to places who would look
after them properly and did regular visits.

I thought the Santuary had connections with Bagpuss so we had to go there, I
have never seen so many donkeys and all looking so well cared for too.

It's a nice place isn't it... we went there a long time ago, before I'd
even met Bagpuss. Maybe you'll get sent some photo's if you've adopted her,
don't they send out a newsletter type thing with updates?

They do send newsletters ~~Linda~~ I am expecting an Adoption pack to arrive
in the post pretty soon, then I can show a picture I expect.
