Foxy at w*rk...
Hi everyone. I am back from an absolutely wonderfull break. We had a spot of
rain the first day but after that the byt followed us round.

The holiday was full of great sights, lots of good ale, and good food. The
accomodation was excellent and I think I fell in love with Westie all over

pmj...

noreen...
That is lovely Jen nice to see you back , and falling in love all over again

~~seadancer~~...
Welcome back, Jen. I haven't been around much myself.
But I'm glad I came back for your Cumberland sausages. :)
Thanks! Are they very spicy? Not too hot, I hope. (g)

Pam the goose...
They're called "Cumberland Sausage", sea, (not "sausages") because they come
in links, each sausage is enough for a family meal!

Put Cumberland Sausage into web-search and see what you get. There's only about
218,000 pages!

Foxy at w*rk...
More herby than spicy Sea

Jackie...
Glad to see you back with us Jen, seems you had a great time.

~~seadancer~~...
"Herby" is good. (g) Even a little spicy is OK.
BTW, "Herby" was the name of my first unrequited teen-age crush.
He married a beautiful girl. End of crush. :-(
One never forgets the first crush. (g)

Foxy at w*rk...
One doesn't Sea. Mine was Dougie lol

The double choc with cream cake sounds good if there is any left!!!
Good luck with your catching-up.

linedancer...
Welcome back Jen, you sound to have had a wonderful time, so romantic too.

~~seadancer~~...
LOL! Was he spicy? ;-)

Foxy at w*rk...
I was about 14/15 and I made a poem up about him

He has short brown hair
and eyes of Green
The only boy I love
is Dougie Dean
I love him

He treats me cruel
and does me in
But I chase it off with a grin
Cos I love him
Love him Ooooooo

It went to a tune but I forget which one

Ahhhhhhh the young days lol

Pam the goose...

~~seadancer~~...
Oh, my goodness!
I'll take Jen's word for it. (g)
How delightful:)
I didn't have that sort of experience, no desperate crushes for me during my
teens.
I met Ray in Sep 1957 at night school (I was there for youth choir) and we
both knew we were going to be together for life even if a few things like my
parents were going to try to get in the way:)

~~seadancer~~...
A lovely story, Pam. Nice that you didn't have to kiss a lot frogs
before you found your prince. (g)

~~seadancer~~...
Cute poem. What ever became of Dougie Dean?

I'll have a tiny piece of kendal mint cake please :-)

Foxy at w*rk...
Yes Pat. It was lovely and although Westie would never admit it to his Dad
lol He can be very romantic :-)

!! ahh what more could you ask for ;-))))

Foxy at w*rk...
Lovely story Pam. Dougie Dean turned out to be a bit of a waste of space I
think lol

Pam the goose...
Yes, but Dougie Dean taught you something then disappeared from your life.
Ray came and stayed in mine:)
Wonder what I could have learned if I'd met a few other males before Ray?

Foxy at w*rk...
Not a lot more I bet lol

Mind you, it was a wonder I managed to meet *him* because all males were
excluded from my immediate surroundings - except for my father and two
brothers. I guess my parents allowing me to be in the Youth Choir was quite
fortunate for Ray & me:) And they didn't realise that I would be able to
meet fellas when I went to rehearsals, if they had I would have had to

Foxy at w*rk...
My Dad was always worried about us "girls" He had 5 daughters lol

~~seadancer~~...
Wow. Any brothers?

Foxy at w*rk...
No :-( Mum lost 2 boys one was stillborn and one misscarried at 6 months

~~seadancer~~...
That's a shame, Jen. Sorry to hear that.
But your mum was lucky to have the 5 girls.
I miss having daughters.

Foxy at w*rk...
It's funny but Mum's sister had 5 Sons. We used to joke about swapping a few
lol

leave:(

May...
