Tickettyboo...
Wow! Have been reading about the discovery of previously unknown tombs in
the Valley of the Kings. ( seems odd to call them 'new' when they are
thousands of years old!)

BunnyHare...
Gosh that is interesting. Wonder how many tombs there are cos it seems
every time they say there are no more someone goes on to find another

Tickettyboo...
I am amazed that they found them at all in the Valley of the Kings. It's
huge and I can see why it took years and years to find the tombs. Unlike
the pyramids, which proclaimed to all and sundry 'here it is' the valley
really does seem to have been chosen partly as a good place to hide stuff.

one.

When we were there at Chr**tmas, we saw lots of different groups of
archaeologists painstakingly sifting through sand and rocks and it did
cross my mind that we may not yet know all the secrets of the valley,
though I never thought they would make such an important discovery .

Anita Carter...
Spunds interesting - you will have to go back again and see it :)

Tickettyboo...
Maybe someday :-)

jackie...
That is really interesting Boo I followed the programme about the Tombs on
TV,this is
a really great breakthrough!!

Tickettyboo...
It is fascinating. I saw some of that programme too, very considerate of
them to put it on just before I went to see all that stuff in Egypt!

Jackie...
It did cross my mind that you may have been watching some of the programmes
Boo
I(you were in my thoughts)!!!

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
I wonder if they'll find a Stargate down there this time? ;)

pandamonium...
I want my mummy!

noreen...
That is facinating Boo ,and you could have been watching that one.
Daughter and Family are looking on the net for a holiday in July to Egypt

Tickettyboo...
It will be very hot in July ( can be over 100F) and from what I
understand, trips to places like the Valley of the Kings would have to be
done as early as possible to avoid the hottest part of the day ( not much
shade in the desert) so I hope they are early risers :-)

,any tips ?
they are looking at the short cruises too .;-)))

Tickettyboo...
We spoke to a few people who had combined a cruise on the Nile with a few
days at the Red Sea and then a few in Luxor at either end of the holiday.
Most of the travel companies have Egypt in their brochures, so I would
hunt round the net and see what they have to offer. Don't discount the
high street travel agents though, they can often hunt out good deals to
suit exactly what people want.

JoeH...
They weren't brokted into by someone at Chri$tma$ were they? LOL

Tickettyboo...
LOL, I can't find things I put down yesterady, never mind beign able to
find something that had been hidden for al that time.

Tickettyboo...
Having re read it, I dunno if you are laughing at what I said or the
apalling typing!
Really sorry everyone, but my hands are a bit sore this week and really
don't want to do what they are told. Those who are used to me don't seem
to mind, but often seem suprised if we talk and they find that Boo can
actually string a sentence together if she doesn't do it via a keyboard!
