So I go there like I did when you posted about R88 but this
time it didn't tell me there were no updates, it gave me
R88. Why are you always one ahead of me? Usually I can go
and get it manually but it would only give me R87 last time,
manually or automatically. I suppose I ought to go today and
see if I can get R89 manually.

I've just had a look back through my Sent Items & found the
(direct) URLs for the defs ref/zip File(s).

Try any (or all?) of these URLs?...
or as a .ref File from...
or...

& also, the URL for the defs.ref file is always available in the
"personalwu.dat" - Personal WebUpdate Data - File, which the AdAware
Web Update thingy checks...

See which of them work OK for you.

The Current one - defs.ref - (SE1R89 24.01.2006) is being Sent from
the updates.ls-servers.com Server with Headers of...
