I got the same post Anita, and whatever anyone says about them it was a nice
surprise from them, seeing I personally had suffered no inconvenience at

I agree Biffo - in this day and age it is nice to get that type of an
email from an ISP :)

this was a nice email to receive :

Hmmm...

Your email service

We're writing to apologise for any disruption you may recently have
experienced with your Tiscali email service.

The disruption was due to an upgrade to our mail servers. The upgrade

pmj...
Well, you would have thought that a firm ought to be able to do
an "upgrade" to their Mail Servers without causing all sorts of
disruption for their Users, wouldn't you?

has been undertaken to dramatically increase the size of your mail box,
but during this time a few temporary issues occurred such as access
problems and slow email.

Your email service should now return to normal and we will be monitoring
the service very closely. Once we're satisfied that no further
disruptions will occur we will increase the size of your mail storage
from 10MB to 100MB absolutely free.

pmj...
100 MB?

That's the size that Freeserve/Wanadoo (now Orange) have been
offering for 5 or 6 Years now!
(Before that, it was in excess of 2GB, but that was "not officially
supported")

And web-search Mail offers (Free) Mail Accounts with nearly 3 Gb of
Storage Space.

Please note, if you are already a subscriber to the 100MB extra storage
package, your storage space will be increased from 100MB to 1000MB.

pmj...
But that's a "PaidFor" service, isn't it?

The increase in your mail box size will occur soon, and we hope you
enjoy the much improved storage space!

Thank you for your patience during this time.

Making their Customers think they are getting something, which is
