Thanks Steve !! i do have Picasa and like it ! so am trying that out looks

pmj...
I noticed that on the Picasa Web Site (on that URL above), there are
2 different Links, both labelled [Free Download] - one in the box on
the right & one in the "Navigation" bit at the top

The Link at the top goes to:
& the Link at the right goes to:

But they each have a *different* Version available!!!

The top Link ends up Downloading a File called:
"picasa2-current.exe"
but the one on the right ends up Downloading a (different) File called:
"picasaweb-current-setup.exe"

The first one is actually the *old* (previous) Version - Version 2.2.0
Build 28.20 which was Released way back on 16th Mar 2006

If you want to make sure you get the actual latest (Current) Version,
make sure that thee File you Download is the "picasaweb" one - that
is Version 2.5.0 Build 32.94 (Signed on 14th Sep 2006) & is the new
Version that they are talking about on that web-search Blog.

Confuzzlingly, both Files say in the Properties that they are Version
1.0.0.1 - but that refers to the Version Number of the NSis Installer/
Setup Package & not the actual Picasa Program which is inside it.

Also, it's always a good idea (with any Installation File) to Download
& *Save* the Install/Setup File & then Scan it with an AntiVirus thing
& then Run it to Install the Program, rather than just Run it straight
from the Web Page (despite what the Instructions on the Web Page say).

ok ;-)))))
