Good morning each and every one from a still wet Cornwall.

Dry here but chilly and damp. It's bright enough despite the grey sky but
it's really not a nice day out there. I can't really complain though 'cos it
is just a typical February day.
Good morning one and all.

Good morning....and to everyone else....
Sunny but with a heavy frost here.
|
Hope you are all well. Safe journey to Tyke - hope you find your Mum much
improved.
According to my page-a-day desktop calendar the first episode of Eastenders
was screened 21 years ago - seems longer somehow ;-)

Your calendar may be correct, but BBC Breakfast was celebrating 21 years of
Eastenders on the 16th.

BBC Breakfast are being a bit premature - the anniversary isn't until
tomorrow :-)
My calendar uses just one page for Saturday and Sunday
EASTENDERS
The first episode of Eastenders was broadcast on 19th February 1985, and
was created by the writers Julia Smith and Tony Holland. Its creation was
largely a response to declining audience ratings, but at the same time the
BBC felt strongly that its public service ethos and responsibilities should
not be compromised in any way. Smith and Holland decided to create a Soap
Opera with a regional location- the East End of London- and went away
together to invent a few important characters and some introductory
story-lines. (Buscombe, 2000 p.145)

Good morning Mike and everyone. A nice quiet type of morning, dry so far and
not windy.
Thinking of Tyke and wishing him well.
There was a programme on the other day about the 21 years of Eastenders so
your Calendar is correct, it is the only soap we watch.
We had a very nice day with our Daughter and SIL who came up for the day
from Somerset (4.1/2 hrs. each way) to see Ted whose 80th birthday is
Sunday.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning from a bright looking corner of London.
Looks very promising out there - no rain overnight or yesterday.
Sun is trying to push through the clouds - definitely not cold, and there is
no wind.
I see my crocuses are in flower already - is the spring really round the
corner ??
Hope you all have a good day
