MCC...
A very early good morning from a cloudy but dry Cornwall.

Rabbit...
I think winter has arrived here, it's wet,it's wild and decidedly cooler out
there today, more like January than May. I must have a web-search later though
'cos I was arguing today that the weather did this here last year for the
first week in May. See the UPS GMT does come in handy :-)
Good afternoon one and all.

Hope you are all well, or at least on the mend if you have been poorly.

jackie...
Good morning Mike and Everyone.A much better morning. It did turn out nice
yesterday later in the day.
Enjoy your trip to Truro, seems you have your day planned !!!

Got to go to Truro today to visit Staples to get some things that my sister
in Orkney needs. She could order on-line but Staples have a minimum
delivery charge of £15 to the Scottish islands - they don't deserve our
business - it doesn't cost a penny more to post things to addresses there
than it does to places on the mainland.

Rabbit...
And from what I've read most mail order/online store even charge more for
delivery to the likes of Skye despite it *officially* being part of the
mainland because of the bridge.

MCC...
It's nothing but a racket, Sandra. I can understand an increased charge if
the delivery is via a courier service but not via the post - standard
charges across the country. Although I was reading just this morning that

Rabbit...
Yep and they get away with it too.

postal charges are going to change again at the end of the summer - we'll
now be paying on the shape, size and weight of the package.

Rabbit...
I've got a thing ( sheet of cardboard actually :-)) I got free from the PO a
couple of months ago for measuring the new size mail. If it goes through one
slot it's x price and if it goes through the other it's Y price.Apparently
everybody will get one see

As soon as I told SWMBO that I was going to Truro she said she wanted to go
to Sainsbury's and Matalan - she takes advantage of my generous nature,
that woman! Fortunately Matalan is right next door to Comet so I might just
pay them a visit. ;-)

Have a good day whatever you are doing.

Rabbit...
Not at all. What she's doing is saving fuel by combining the trips and thus
doing her bit for the environment ;-)

MCC...
Strange! That's almost word for word what she said - you haven't been
speaking to each other, have you?

Rabbit...
It's just our female logic :-)

Rabbit...
Oh do tell us what you buy ? A huge plasma telly or a pack of batteries :-)

MCC...
Nothing! Although I was sorely tempted to buy a wireless router/modem but
kept my flexible friend in my wallet.

Rabbit...
You know you really want one, sit in the garden on a summer day with the
laptop, sit close to Mrs MCC and pla..... eh do something serious, with the
laptop :-) Mine's a Belkin BTW

MCC...
Er.... No!

Some of those plasma screen TVs are huge! We'd need an extension on the end

Rabbit...
But you could show her how do online shopping then *you* never have to visit
a shop again, except *man toys* type of shops of course :-)

MCC...
None of the local Tesco or Asda supermarkets deliver to this area :-(
I doubt she would use the service even if she could because she likes to go
to meet friends and family. I don't think I've ever been in the local Asda
and not met somebody we know.

of the house to accommodate one :-)

Foxy at w*rk...
Morning Mike and everyone. Quite a bit cooler here today :-(

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
It's about 12°C (53.6°F) here atm. Doesn't feel too chilly though

I have 841 posts to get through and quite a bit of w*rk so will get on for

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Get to it then gal. ;)

Foxy at w*rk...
Nearly there lol

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
That's what Leeds United are saying, but I reckon Preston N E are more
likely to get promoted.
But then - what do I know? After watching Sheffield United's first match
of the season, I told my lad that they would have difficulty scoring goals
from open play and would probably be fighting relegation at the end of the

Rabbit...
Aren't they just and with new houses getting smaller folk must sit in the
garden to see them right :-)

season. See!!!!! What do I know about it? :)
