Splodge, isn't it you who has a relative who's just gone
through this?
If not, I know someone has so it'll help them. If it is you
then get your eyes to:
I have been putting "aneurism" into web-search for years but
it's never brought up this site before. I wish it had
because we'd have known that everything we were doing
(including having me play card games on my puter!) through
common sense was the right thing to do.

Those of us who watched and said our words for you, knew that what you and
the family were doing was the right thing and helping enormously, as we
could see you making your baby steps and cheer you all along !

You're right, and you all *did* cheer us all along. I'll be
eternally grateful for the support of UPS.
It never occured to me that you could see me making steps, I
was totally unaware that I was doing!

Oh yes, from the start, when we were all so very worried, all along as
different parts began to heal and things started to come back to you,
maybe intermittently at first but getting more and more reliable. We
watched and listened and cheered!
Still watching and listening and cheering, but not quite so often now cos
a lot of the good work has been done :-)

It's amazing, I really was unaware of it, thought it was
just the usual UPS keeping me cheerful!
I know Ray told me the day I got home that he would show me
how to use the puter and read the posts from UPS. I just got
up and switched my puter on and opened OE. I remember that
*so* well, I amazed him and Cathy! But I knew everything I
had to do with the puter and they didn't have to help at
all, just watch me with their mouths open wide:))
What I didn't understand, till that lovely man came to see
me the other day, was that repairs are temporary in that
they are only there so the body can do the next repair
without harming you and so on till you're totally repaired.
I had begun to get more and more depressed at the way I
seemed to take a step backwards after every repair, thought
it was just that - going backwards - didn't realise it was
part of the progress.
Yes, the brain is a wonderful thing. But if you can avoid a
bleeding brain do!

I remember those posts too very much Boo, enjoying each little progress and
sending thanks up for them all ;-)))

It helps patients and their carers and families in a
wonderful way. I've just found out that all the things I
complain of about me now are a direct result of the aneurism
and I needn't worry about them, just go ahead trying to put
up with them because they *will* get better in some years
time. Can't say how long cos everyone seems to be different,
but everyone does end up losing their problems when healing
is completed.
I think it's a great find and so much help that you and your
sister (? remember my rememberer is still not doing things
right!) could benefit from the pages.

I'm not sure this has been the definitive diagnosis in either of the two
cases Pam, but I've bookmarked it as I'm sure it will be very useful.
Ta lots

Well, you've made my day! I actually remembered something
important:)))
It's a site that caters for so many kinds of bleeding brains
and it's really put my mind at rest.
