I agree with you there Boo and thanks for suggesting it.

The cause would have had a donation anyway, its a crying sin that here
we are, over 2000 years after the event we are about to ( supposedly)
celebrate and still we ( as a society) turn our heads away from the
people who will be sleeping in doorways tonight. Turning our heads away

It is too. I always try to help out the true homeless. The trouble is
it is getting harder to decide who are the real homeless and who are
simply begging. I do try to make sure that the Big Issue sellers are on
my list for help as they are doing their best to help themselves.

My friend in the wheelchair (only see him once a year and only know his
name is Jimmy) called tonight doing his usual collection for Headway,
the charity for people who have suffered brain injury, their families
and their carers. Popped a bit extra in his box cos I was having such
fun in here

means we no longer see them, but doesn't mean they aren't there. I do
little bits now and then, to help out and, I suppose, to ease my
conscience.
Lots of people do little bits and hopefully one day all the little bits
will add up to no one sleeping in doorways in the freezing cold.
