Is there a time limit when you select 'quick reply' and write an email back?
I just lost an email I spent time constructing :-( Do you think 'quick
reply' means just that?
TIA.

In actual fact pingu, MW does not compose replies, what it does is opens
your email client which can be Outlook or OE, depending on what your
system uses. So any loss is not down to MW

That makes so much sence now that ive manage to sort the problem! In fact
it turned out that I had several bits of spywhere messing about and slowing
the machine down. I managed to contain the prob and deleted the spywere and
found the missing mal which was in lying unnatended.

No - probably a resource or pilot issue - Have you Checked ? >
Normally on most applications you have a SAVE/SAVE AS option - regular use
of these facilities has been known to mitigate similar situations to yours?
;-)
Seriously can you give a few more details on your OS, MW version, email
Was MW still active when you lost email?
Did you just loose contents of email but emailer still running or did you
loose email prog?
Were there any entries in event logs?
Did you check TM to see if email process thread and or MW thread was still
running?
As a simple test what happens if you invoke QR and
a) leave email running for say 30 mins with some text entered?
b) close MW before QR email?
Finally how cold is it up there in yer igloo? Lower temperatures
around -273 K do affect covalent bonding and some software has thus been
known to fall to pieces.... unless its some cr*p like OE running on
Windows in which case the result is often the same but the temperature is
irrelevant.
