Linedancer...
Does anyone have a Labtec Cordless mouse ?

pmj...
Probably!
:-)
Almost certainly I would think!
:-)

If so how long do the batteries usually last, frequent use of course ;-)

pmj...
They usually last until they run down!
:-)

Linedancer...
I asked for that LOL

I have just discovered they wern' run down at all, I had moved the other
thingy it looks at out of range, how daft can you get LOL

Linedancer...
.

Mine have just run out and I bought it during December and we have been away

jamps...
My batteries need re-charging about every two weeks Pat.

Linedancer...
Thank's Jamps, I only had normal ones in it, I will use rechargeable ones in
future.

andon...
Also, if you are going away for a while take the batteries out.
It is good practise to take batteries out of anything if you are not
using the item for a month.

Throw the blasted mouse away, Pat. I discovered using

noreen...
heheheheh Pat I just said dulux batteries ;-)))))) of course i mean't
duracel, mind you I usually call them the other name ;-))))))))

Linedancer...
Whatever do you mean Noreen ;-)))))))

I just read the instruction book and discovered it blinks when the batteries
are low, it hadn't blinked at all, so I put the old batteries back in and it
w**ked, silly me had been moving things round on my desk and must have
moved the other thingy out of range of the mouse, dohhh

noreen...
Mine lasts three months with dulux batteries , with anything else a couple

noreen...
You mean you are as bad as me ? must say never used the durex " ones
;-))))))))

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
Are they the _rubber_ ones?

of months , but I like it ;-))))

Wally...
LOL, what colour did you paint your batteries ???

Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°6 +...
ROFL Thanks Wally - Saved me from commenting.

noreen...
I realised as soon as i had sent it ;-)))) never could get that word right,
well it's what is called in UPS a
Noreenism !!!

a large rat with a long tail as a cord will last as long as you
feed the critter.

Btw, dear. I had a Microsoft cordless mouse & it was
a pain. It sits in my desk now & my corded mouse is just
fine. Good luck.

pmj...
Like andon says, it's usually a good idea to remove the Batteries

Linedancer...
Thank's Andon, that's a good tip, but I did take them out before we went
away.

from something like that, if it isn't going to be used for a long
period of time, cos they are (basically) on all the time - when not
actively in use, there's still a slight Current Drain from the
circuitry.

I haven't got a Labtec Cordless Mouse, but I used to have an
UnBranded (El Cheapo) Cordless Mouse (with a Ball, not an Optical
Mouse with an LED Light) & the (small, AAA) Batteries lasted *ages* -
several Months or more.
I very rarely had to replace them.
:-)

But the Mouse I am using at the mo is a Cordless (Optical) Mouse
(along with a Cordless Keyboard) that came with the PC. they both
work very well, but I find I need to replace the (AA) Batteries
(in the Mouse but not the Keyboard) every few weeks.
:-(

Linedancer...
I haven't got a cordless keyboard yet, seems a good idea though to do away
with all the trailing cords.

Ali...
Or use a wired one, and do away with all the extra batteries?

The batteries in the Keyboard last ages though I dunno why - maybe
it's cos the Optical Mouse has an LED Light in it, which drains the
Batteries quicker?

Some Cordless Mice come with Rechargeable Batteries & a little sort
of "Mouse Hole" (Docking Station) type thing (Usually as part of the
Cordless/Wireless Receiver for the Mouse, Powered from the USB Socket),
that you can "Park" the Mouse in, to Recharge them.

Linedancer...
That sounds good

Alternatively, you could use ordinary Rechargeable Batteries & take
them out & bung them in a Charger when they need ReCharging.

Linedancer...
I am going to use Rechargeable batteries in future, we have four, so I can
anways have two in reserve for when they run out.

a month.
