Is there any way I can increase the volume on my laptop? As far as I can

Put it in boiling water, generally things expand when they get hotter.

see all volume controls are at the tops of their slide controls.

Mike, do you have an extra sound manager on your laptop? as well as the
volume control thing that comes with windows? Mine shows in control panel
as 'sound manager' In there I can select either headphones or speakers and
there are 'sound effects' and an equaliser thing. Maybe if you have a
similar thing you could twiddle and see if the sound could be improved.
Other than that, if its sound in a particular prog, does it have a slider
you can get an extra millimetre or so on?

Yes, all as far up as they'll go.

Have you checked the speaker grille is unobstructed?

Yes. But not only do I want the volume in the speakers increased but also
in my headphones.
|
Concievably, you could attach an acoustic amplifier (megaphone thingy).
