. . . from the west but it's only light and not really settling.
I don't think it'll last long.
Old Grizzly...
|
Snows arrived in Bristol! well you can hardly call it snow, more like
dandruff ;-)
|
Aries...
|
We have not any any snow here at all - not a speck!
Troy's Human...

Still lots lying here - our lane is still covered. Highest temperature
today was - 2 °C it's now - 5°C and falling. This is very rare in this part
of the country close to the sea. Still *nothing* like as bad as the
newspapers would have us believe though.

Yep! Weather watcher tells me it's -1.7°C atm. My remote temp sensor in my
pmj...
garden - 1 metre above ground on the North facing trunk of my conifer next
to my pond is registering between 0 and -1°C Below zero it only registers
pmj...
pmj...
the next highest °C (eg going down 0.4, 0.3, 0.2, 0.1,
0, -1, -2, -3 -4 etc. Got down to the -3 reading overnight though That's
Very Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!. in my book.

It is pretty cold in Bag Enderby too.
Just thought you might like to know that :-)
John the R-T...
|
So it is
andon...
|
Also cold in Mavis Enderby so I am told
John the R-T...
|
Not forgetting Wood Enderby. ;-)
BoyPete...
|
Nor bog standard plain boring....Enderby ;)
|
andon...
|
Nobody bothers to mention that.
It just isn't funny or neat.
In fact it is a rather nice sounding address.
Bag Enderby is real cool and Mavis Enderby is just
has us in rolling around.

And what about Mavis and Wood?

Can you not Connect up the Output of those sort of things to your PC?
So you could have an Instant (& continually Updated) Readout of the
Temperature (& a Log/Graph of it) available at all times?
:-)
& then, you could also FTP the Output (Graphs/Logs etc,) up to your
WebSpace, so we could all see what the Temperature is where you are!!!
:-)

Here was mine at 16-04. told you it wasn't so cold, and also note that the
sky is clear. ie No little cloud icons on the top left. :)
Rabbit...
|
Sheesh, boys and their toys and you show me yours and I'll show you mine.
Boys never grow up, their toys just become more expensive :-)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°5 +...
|
I'm surprised it's not on your New year Sales list. :)
Rabbit...
|
Nah if I want to know the weather I use the old fashioned approach. Stick
my head out the window if it comes back in wet it's raining if it comes back
in dry it isn't. Same with warm and cold :-)
BoyPete...
|
And if it gets chopped off, you need new sash cords ;)
Rabbit...
|
Then you don't need to worry about the weather :-)

Getting a bit blue and droopy Joe.
Reminds me of that age old query from modern youth:
Question: "Who's Googie Withers?"
Answer: "Everybody's does in the cold weather" Boom Boom!!!!!
|
pmj...
|
LOL!
:-)
BTW - Can you lot not Connect up the Output of those sort of things
directly to your PC?
:-)
JoeH...
|
I can't, cos I ain't got one LOL, but I think Troy's human mentioned
that he was "Excel-ing" at graphs.
Troy's Human...
|
Yep :-)
See here :-
BunnyHare...
|
Are you sure that's not somebody's expense account after Christmas :-))
Actually that is very interesting - its been much colder here today than
it has for a few days so I guess we would have generated a similar graph
|
Each day starts at midnight on my graph - 6 hour gaps. Today was *very*
BoyPete...
interesting.

Having *Pictures* of (what is basically) *Numeric* (& Character)
Data doesn't seem right, in these days of quick & easy Access to
(& distribution of) Data!
So you could have an Instant (& continually Updated) Readout of the
Temperature (& a Log/Graph of it) available at all times?

It's now dropped to - 6.5°C. I think we're just about the coldest spot in
the UK - most unusual :-(

|
No walk for Ben again - just Bobbie and me. I had sort of planned to go
into town today and have a look at a new computer and perhaps ........
never mind I'm not driving in these conditions :-)
|
Jackie...
|
Ours is still with us and frozen so still not moving even with the sun on
it!!
Anita Carter...
|
No snow here !
It has been sunny here today - but still chilly, but definitely not below
freezing - although it is chilly out now, but no sign of frost - yet :)
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°5 +...
|
Are you sure you aren't using a *feels like* thermometer?
'cos weather watch reckons it's about -1.1°C but feels like -6.1°C
My thermometer reckons it's between -2 and -3 atm
JoeH...
|
Just been out in the car and it was showing -3.5°C.
Flyiñg Ñuñ 2°°5 +...
|
We must have some cloud cover atm then. No frost on the windscreen and car
thermometer only showing -1.7°C .
|
|
Troy's Human...
|
Just re-read your post - I misunderstood the first time. No I'm quoting the
*actual* temperature.
Dropping a lot now, minimum was - 6.6°C up to - 5.3°C now and rising :-)
Troy's Human...
|
Should be "Rising" a lot now :-)
|
|
Troy's Human...
|
My thermometer is quite accurate. Have a look here :-
They seem to agree with me - the dark blue bit to the east :-)
Temperature has just started to rise BTW :-)
BoyPete...
|
Interesting..................at 18.39, it says the sun is shining over
pmj...
|
Well, London is where Anita lives, isn't it?
:-)
& It's *always* Sunny & Warm, in London!
:-)
Just like up in Ayrshire, (way Ooop North), where Sandra lives!
In fact I reckon that Sandra & Anita are actually one & the same
person & she/they don't really live anywhere in the UK at all!
They are actually Posting from somewhere in the South of the Caribbean!
BoyPete...
|
Interesting thought...........so where am I? :)
pmj...
|
Ah!
You're in *South* (or "S-a-a-aff") London, which is nowhere near
the London that Anita (or Ayrshire that Sandra) lives in!
:-)
So it can't be expected to be Sunny & warm all the time, where you
are, can it?
:-)
|
|
:-)
|
London. ;)
Troy's Human...
|
You *saw* that at 18:39. That's would not have been the time the reading
was taken. If it did say the sun is shining then it's an out of date
reading. The times of the readings are given for each location - some (not
many) are out of date for whatever reason.
BoyPete...
|
That was the time on the page...............not actual clock time.
Troy's Human...
|
Aah right ! But it wasn't the time shown on the reading for the weather
station location you were looking at - just at the bottom of the whole map
page?
|
|
The readings on that site are taken from proper weather stations and are
BoyPete...
|
I appreciate that..............I was just being humorous m8 ;)
Troy's Human...
|
Grin :-)
BoyPete...
|
Mmm, it 'was' the time bottom right of the page...........not a weather
station. Would need to do a comparison in daylight. :)
|
|
|
very accurate.

|
BoyPete...

Yes, but have you noticed that the road map and satellite image don't
coincide around Richmond Farm and Gedgrave Hall. Perhaps there's been a
lateral shift during the time between the road map issue and satellite
image. :(
|
Ahem.........and Donna is............? as for her 'nook'.............. I'll
say nowt ;)
