Oh :( Poor Ron, he does seem to go thro the mill one say or the other
doesn't he :( When is he to have this operation?

There is a six month waiting list, but I will push to try and get him in
sooner if I can

We saw the spine specialist yesterday, cos Ron has been in a lot of pain

for a few weeks now. His right arm has been been extremely painful and he
cannot move his neck properly without a lot of pain.
Apparently he has a badly pinched nerve in his neck, which is being pinched
by a spur growing on his spine. The specialist said it has to be released
because it will get worse otherwise.

He has, Jackie - it is unbelievable the things he gets wrong with him. One
good thing his kidney failure has not worsened - thank goodness.

He will have his neck cut so they can reach the spur, the specialist said
the op would take about an hour and he will have to wear a collar for 6
weeks after.

Thank you, I am sure the specialist would not have decided to operate if it
was not going to bring him pain relief. It is the same specialist that
performed his hip operation - he said he will do it himself because of the
state of Ron's spine.

He is to have some more nerve tests (he had them 9 months ago), and there is
a 6 months waiting list.

So I will phone the admissions and let them know that he will take a
cancellation - should one become available.

Oh, Anita. Everything will be okay. Life is never a smooth
road. Good luck to Ron & you dear lady. I hope someone
cancels & Ron takes his place. We have long waits in America
too. Sometimes we get lucky but not often. Health insurance
doesn't kick in until age 65 & then the coverage is only partial.

May God take care of you & Ron & this bump in life's road
is passed over quickly.
